Laura van den Aarssen

As a Senior Consultant, I support organisations in successfully embedding digital innovation in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. My work focuses on data collaboration, digital ecosystems and emerging regulation, including the Digital Product Passport (DPP).
I operate at the intersection of strategy, policy and business models. Working closely with public and private partners, I translate digital ambitions into feasible strategic choices, frameworks for collaboration, and business models that are not only sound on paper, but also adopted in practice. In doing so, I draw extensively on systems thinking, collaborative business modelling and ecosystem orchestration.
I bring extensive experience from both the public sector - working with ministries, regulators and implementing agencies - and the private sector, ranging from SMEs and industry associations to internationally operating companies. A central element of my approach is connecting stakeholders: building shared understanding, making interests explicit and accelerating decision-making in networks where no single party is in full control.
Within TNO, I am involved in national and European research and innovation projects on data spaces, circular value chains and digital product information. I contribute to the development of methodologies around value creation and adoption, and share insights through publications, presentations and community events. Among other roles, I am the lead of the Dutch Digital Product Passport Landscape Scan, actively involved in building the Dutch DPP ecosystem, and affiliated with the Centre of Excellence for Digital Product Passports (CoE-DPP).
