About this position

In a world of increasing geopolitical tensions, innovation is crucial for the security of the Netherlands. At TNO’s Electromagnetics & Military Operations (E&MO) division, we combine technological expertise such as radar, electronic warfare, and signature management with operational knowledge of air and missile defence, use of space, counter-drones, and tactical data links, among others. This unique combination enables us to respond quickly to a constantly changing security landscape, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Defence, security providers, and industry. Do you want to lead innovations that make a difference to our security? Come and work as a project manager in one of the 6 departments of the E&MO division!

You will be responsible for achieving the agreed goals within the set time, scope, and available budget. In doing so, you will work closely with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and coordination throughout the project.

You will provide structure and clarity, identify risks in a timely fashion, and make adjustments where necessary. You will work on multiple projects simultaneously and switch smoothly between different subjects and teams. Within the project teams, you will foster effective collaboration, empowering, motivating, and directing team members. Thanks to your unifying approach, everyone will know what is expected of them and feel part of the team. You will also keep a close eye on whether the project results actually meet the needs of our stakeholders and make sure that the output delivered really adds value. Finally, you will work with our business developers to shape new projects. In doing so, you will be adept at asking probing questions, providing input, and understanding needs, so that we not only deliver what is requested, but above all, what is truly necessary.
