Discover the future of solar energy in buildings
At the SolarBEAT test facility, a collaboration between TNO and Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), you can get an up-close look at coloured solar panels and other innovative building-integrated solar technologies. This unique testing site is located on the rooftop of the Vertigo building on the TU/e campus in Eindhoven.
Here, solar energy products and systems integrated into buildings are tested day and night throughout the year for companies and institutions. You’ll see installations featuring coloured panels, special materials and shapes, and even solar energy generated through louvres.
During the event, visitors will get an exclusive glimpse into the future of solar energy in and on buildings. SolarBEAT is one of dozens of projects across the Netherlands opening their doors to the public on this day.
