TNO at Quantum.Tech

As a strategic partner, TNO is proud to play a central role in this year’s edition. Our presence underscores TNO’s commitment to accelerating quantum innovation and strengthening the Dutch and European quantum ecosystem. With 2025 designated as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, TNO’s active engagement at Quantum.Tech is a key milestone in our broader ambition to position the Netherlands as a global leader in quantum technologies.

Why TNO’s Presence Matters

Quantum technology is poised to reshape industries and address societal challenges, from secure communications to advanced sensing and computing. TNO’s expertise lies in translating quantum research into practical, scalable solutions. Our participation at Quantum.Tech Europe reflects our strategic focus on valorizing quantum knowledge, fostering industrial adoption, and co-creating with partners across sectors.

Featured Workshops:

Led by Richard Versluis, principal systems engineer for quantum computing at TNO, this masterclass offers a deep dive into the architecture of quantum computers. Participants will gain insights into the essential hardware and software components, with a focus on qubit-agnostic technologies and modality-specific distinctions.

This session is designed for professionals seeking a technical understanding of quantum systems and their operational principles an essential foundation for informed decision-making and strategic planning in quantum adoption.

By Frank Phillipson, senior scientist at TNO, This workshop will provide an in-depth exploration of critical topics and emerging trends within the field of quantum computing and its military applications, with a particular focus on situational awareness. Together we will delve into how information about the environment, gathered by sensors (not necessarily quantum sensors), can be efficiently processed into actionable decisions.

Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the foundational principles, advanced methodologies, and innovative practices that are shaping the future of military operations. They will be encouraged to actively contribute ideas for new research directions and quantum solutions.”
