Paper: Microplastic aquatic impacts included in Life Cycle Assessment
Scientific methods for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) evaluate a broad range of environmental impacts, but the ecological effects of microplastics are often not included. In this research, we have developed a method to also account for the effects of these 'small particles' of plastic in environmental and sustainability analyses. This represents an important step towards a comprehensive understanding of the impact of plastic products.
