Program Manager Optical Wireless Communication | Eindhoven

Make your mark on our time by driving the development of photonic integrated chips in the market for optical wireless communication. Become program manager at the Photonic Integration Technology Center in Eindhoven!

What will be your role?

With the growing global demand for fast, secure, and reliable data communication, optical wireless communication is becoming increasingly important. As technologies such as laser satcom and LiFi continue to evolve, there is a strong push toward smaller and compact systems. This shift requires a transition from discrete, bulky components to integrated photonic chips that can be produced at low cost on a large scale.

To accelerate this development, TNO, the University of Twente, Eindhoven University of Technology, and PhotonDelta have joined forces and established the Photonic Integration Technology Center (PITC), with the mission to bridge the gap between research and industrial application in integrated photonics.

As Program Manager, you will play a central role in the Dutch photonics ecosystem, supporting leading companies in achieving their R&D ambitions and driving innovation forward.

What will be your role?

In this position, you will lead the Optical Wireless Communication program, working closely with industry partners and a strong multidisciplinary research team. Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing programs and providing technical leadership across multiple projects.
  • Supporting business development and strategic planning.
  • Overseeing operational aspects such as planning, budgeting.
  • Building and maintaining a strong network to engage in national and EU-funded projects.
  • Attracting new partnerships and ensuring alignment with the broader PITC and PhotonDelta ecosystem.

At PITC, you will be part of a dynamic, open, and innovative environment that encourages collaboration and continuous learning. We combine knowledge sharing with a supportive culture.
