Solution Architect Digital Workspace – The Hague/Hybride - 32-40h

What will be your role?

As a Solution Architect Digital Workspace, you will work within the (agile) TNO Digital Workspace (TDW) team, which consists of architects, administrators, and packagers. As a Solution Architect, you will work closely with another architect to create a Technical Design (TD) based on functional specifications and a Project Start Architecture (PSA). Based on the approved TD, you will develop an IT system. You will test, document, and after a successful acceptance test, ensure it is transferred to operations.

Your tasks will include:

  • Drafting the technical design and developing (as part of a team) IT systems based on approved functional specifications and a PSA;
  • Designing, configuring, testing, operationalizing, and documenting, typically using off-the-shelf products;
  • Conducting program and system tests using the OTAP methodology;
  • Guiding technical acceptance tests and implementation;
  • Providing technical leadership on complex projects and working on complex IT systems;
  • Managing the lifecycle of implemented solutions and products;
  • Making recommendations for vendor, hardware, and product selection;
  • Defining the standards used by administrators;
  • Providing technical support to administrators within projects and expert groups;
  • Keeping up with new technologies and trends in the field.


The team works at the office in The Hague (next to the Central Station) at least on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; the rest can be arranged in a hybrid manner.

What we expect from you

We are looking for a Solution Architect Digital Workspace who recognizes themselves in most of the following profile:

  • At least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional and intellectual level;
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with development within Digital Workspace and the ability to independently design and develop IT systems;
  • Able to communicate at an expert level with suppliers and companies;
  • Has a broad and clear vision and looks beyond their own field(s);
  • Brings structure and clarity to complex issues and environmental factors;
  • Writes manuals for installation, usage, and management of (sub)systems.

We offer a gross monthly salary between € 5.500,- and € 6.500,- (depending on your knowledge and experience), you will receive a 13th month (8.33%) and a flex budget (5.58%) which can be paid out monthly. Altogether, this amounts to a monthly salary between €5,800 and €7,500. On top of that, you receive vacation pay (8%) and have all the opportunities to develop yourself. In addition, you will be given every opportunity to develop yourself.

The selection process

Please apply before 25th of August 2025. The selection process comprises two interview rounds. In a final meeting we will discuss the terms of employment and your tailored benefits package. We aim to finalize the entire interviewprocess within two weeks.
