Fast open infrastructures

The Netherlands is among the world’s leading countries when it comes to digital infrastructure, but there are still many inefficiencies that need to be resolved. Many parties continue to create their own closed networks and platforms for various applications, when these should be accessible to everyone in order to create a level playing field. We are working on technologies that will be capable of connecting existing networks and platforms, making them more accessible and flexible. One example is our involvement in the development of 5G, which will facilitate many new applications and services such as self-driving cars and virtual reality.
