
Oskar van Deventer

Dr Oskar van Deventer is Chair of CEN-CENELEC JTC 22, the European standardisation committee on Quantum Technologies. He is an inventor and standardisation expert and holds a PhD in optical networking.
Oskar has held leading roles in European collaborative projects, such as QUCATS (Quantum Flagship), HBB-Next and eSSIF-Lab. He has actively contributed to various international standardisation organisations (CEN-CENELEC, IEC, ISO, ITU, ETSI, MPEG, HbbTV, DVB, Hyperledger, W3C, Sovrin, OpenSSI, ToIP, DIF, ...), often in an initiating and driving role. He is the author of a book, hundreds of publications, more than 100 patent applications, over 1,000 standardisation contributions, and he holds a Guinness World Record.
