What will be your role?

As part of the relatively new expertise group, Data Ecosystems, you’ll work with smart and committed colleagues on challenging projects for industry, logistics, and the domains of defence and security, among others. Your role herein depends on your expertise and interests. As a developer, you’ll dive into the code; as an architect, you’ll design the contours of complex IT landscapes. Everything you do is supported by sound research and the latest scientific insights. This gives you the chance to be a true pioneer and innovator in your field.

Do you have a technical background? Would you like to be the link between TNO and the outside world or do you prefer managing projects? Then opt for a role as consultant or project leader. Diversity is guaranteed. Whatever role you step into (we can help with this!), you’re guaranteed to have an impact on the future of data sharing. Curious to know what TNO is already doing in this area? For an example, have a look at our contribution to the Netherlands AI Coalition for responsible data sharing, or the Smart Connected Supplier Network, which manufacturing companies can use to share data.

How do you want to contribute to tomorrow's world? How big can your impact be? Come and work at TNO and envision it.

What we expect from you

Conducting scientific research while working on relevant practical applications in partnership with clients and other organisations is something that excites you. We give you a lot of freedom to organise your work in your own way. Needless to say, this freedom comes with a high level of responsibility. You are someone who is comfortable working independently and looking for information on your own, while at the same time keeping in touch with your colleagues spread throughout the country.

Other knowledge and skills you bring to TNO:
  • A master's degree or work experience in a relevant field, such as computer science, business information systems, business informatics, technical business administration, or industrial engineering.
  • A deep sense of wonder in relation to the technical side of IT.
  • The drive and potential to develop (further) in one of the following roles: developer, architect, project leader, or consultant.

What you’ll get in return

Challenging and varied work with a real impact. And plenty of opportunities as, at TNO, you are in charge of shaping your career. We offer a gross monthly salary between €3000,- and €4500,- (based on your knowledge and experience), 8% holiday pay, a 13th month bonus of 8.33% and a flex budget (5.58% + € 180). In addition, you will be given every opportunity to develop yourself. Perhaps you would like to grow your career in the direction of commerce or consultancy? Or would you like to become a project manager? Immerse yourself in sustainable innovations? Or carve out a career as a technical expert?

TNO offers optional employee benefits, enabling you to tailor your benefits package to match your personal situation. You may also expect:
  • An extremely professional, innovative working environment where colleagues are leading experts in their field.
  • 28 days annual leave and 5 compensation days under the reduction in working hours scheme (ATV, arbeidstijdverkorting) on a full-time basis.
  • Access to our Talent Development Programme.
  • Great social events with your team and other TNO colleagues. That’s how you will get to know a lot of people really quickly.
  • Possibility of a permanent contract.
  • The opportunity to attend courses, workshops and conferences, and to receive training and coaching based on your needs.
  • Travel allowance or a bike
  • Flexible working hours and the possibility of working from home.
  • Networking opportunities and great activities organized by Jong TNO
