Quantum technology

This is our time to harness the practical applications of quantum technology. That’s why we’re fully engaged in supporting this emerging industry. We do this by designing, developing, and manufacturing quantum sensors, quantum devices, and entire systems. Find out what we do at TNO in the field of quantum or view our vacancies right away.

Quantum technology at TNO

The power of quantum technology holds the potential to revolutionise nearly every aspect of our lives. From unprecedented computing power and communication capabilities to next-generation sensors.

The Netherlands wants to be at the forefront of this technological revolution, and TNO has been working hard on that since 2014. Together with startups, established companies, and universities, we're working on applications that still sound futuristic: lightning-fast computers, unhackable communication, and ultra-accurate measurements. And that's not only exciting but also an opportunity to make the Netherlands smarter, safer, and more sustainable.

At TNO, we help develop workflows for prototyping ‘perfect’ quantum devices. Additionally, we develop new equipment or adapt existing nanofabrication equipment to make quantum devices.

Science and innovation

At TNO, we combine science and innovation with social commitment. Rather than wait around, we keep moving — not alone, but together. And we always have one goal in mind: to help build a strong, safe, and future-proof society.

We invite you to contribute your ideas, join in the conversation and work with us — because it is precisely by combining our knowledge, experience, and ideas that we really make a difference.
