Technical Coordinator

Want to make your mark on our time? Become a Technical Coordinator at TNO in The Hague!

About this position

At TNO, technology plays a crucial role. In the Corporate Real Estate & Facilities (CREF) department, the Management and Maintenance team is responsible for the management and maintenance, technical and otherwise, of offices and advanced laboratories and test facilities. We are therefore looking for an inspired and passionate Technical Coordinator with experience in technical management. You will play a vital role in maintaining and managing our high-quality buildings and facilities. As Technical Coordinator, you will direct the work of contractors and subcontractors. You will carry out technical work in a high-tech environment with an advanced level of safety, helping to enable research and innovations. A job with meaning and impact!

What will be your role?

As Technical Coordinator, you are responsible for hard services within our team, while the Service Coordinator focuses on soft services. You will work together closely with the Service Coordinator, providing the connecting links between technical management and service-oriented facility management. You will ensure good collaboration and communication, so that the client can always count on excellent technical and service performance.

In addition, as Technical and Service Coordinators, you are also the key stakeholders in real estate and other projects. You will help provide input for the design and implementation of new projects. You will represent both the technical and service-oriented interests within the team, thus contributing to the best possible result. As Technical Coordinator, you will also be the point of contact for the department on site. You will make sure that services meet CREF and client performance requirements. You will be the link between CREF and the team, ensuring that any issues are resolved quickly and effectively. In your role as Technical Coordinator, you are also responsible for conserving, managing and maintaining specific assets connected to locations. In doing so, you will provide functional leadership to a Technical Assistant.

What we expect from you

As Technical Coordinator, you are a good listener and communicate clearly at all levels in the organisation, as well as with lessors and suppliers. And you do not shy away from critical questions. You are decisive and always have an eye for quality. In addition, you are able to convince colleagues and connect people with the right knowledge, so that they come up with good advice or effective solutions.

Other knowledge and skills you bring to TNO:

  • An mbo or hbo degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • An engineering background, preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Knowledge of regulations related to technical management and maintenance of buildings, inventory, and sites.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in complex technical environments, such as hospitals or laboratories.
  • A good command of Dutch. We are an international organisation, so the ability to speak English will help you in your contacts.

What you'll get in return

Challenging and varied work with a real impact. And plenty of opportunities as, at TNO, you are in charge of shaping your career. We offer a gross monthly salary between € 4,000 and € 6,000 (based on your knowledge and experience), 8% holiday pay, a 13th month bonus of 8.33% and a flex budget (5.58% + € 180). In addition, you will be given every opportunity to develop yourself.

TNO offers optional employee benefits, enabling you to tailor your benefits package to match your personal situation. You may also expect:

  • An extremely professional, innovative working environment where colleagues are leading experts in their field.
  • The opportunity to attend courses, workshops and conferences, and to receive training and coaching based on your needs.
