TAISHA terms of use

14 April 2026

These terms of use outline the conditions for using the TAISHA service. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What TAISHA is (and is not)

TAISHA is a questionnaire-based tool that provides a high-level, indicative assessment of potential AI security hazards and relevant controls based solely on the information you enter. TAISHA is not a security audit, penetration test, certification, warranty, or assurance statement, and it does not provide legal or professional advice.

2. No reliance; user responsibility

You remain solely responsible for validating any outcomes, making decisions, and complying with applicable laws and regulations. TAISHA must not be relied upon as the sole or decisive basis for risk acceptance, compliance, procurement, deployment, or incident response decisions.

3. Do not submit sensitive data

You must not enter personal data, confidential information, trade secrets, source code, credentials, security configurations, or other sensitive information into TAISHA. The tool is intended to work with general, non-identifying information.

4. Third-party platform (Typeform)

TAISHA responses are collected via Typeform, a third-party survey provider. Typeform applies industry-standard technical and organisational security measures; however, as an external service provider, data may be processed and stored outside the EU unless EU data hosting has been explicitly configured. TNO does not control Typeform’s underlying infrastructure or sub-processors. Accordingly, do not submit sensitive data.

5. Intellectual property; permitted use

TAISHA and its content (including logic, text, and design) are protected by intellectual property rights. You may use TAISHA outputs for your internal evaluation and governance purposes only. You must not present TAISHA outputs as a certification, compliance statement, or endorsement by TNO, nor use them for advertising or marketing purposes, or publish, distribute, or reproduce TAISHA outputs externally (in whole or in part) without TNO’s prior written consent.

6. No warranty

TAISHA is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TNO disclaims all warranties, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TNO is not liable for any damage arising from the use of (or inability to use) TAISHA or its outputs, including decisions made based on them. In any event, TNO’s liability is limited to direct damages only and excludes indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of data, and business interruption.

8. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold harmless TNO from third-party claims arising from your use of TAISHA or your disclosure or publication of TAISHA outputs, except to the extent caused by TNO’s wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

9. Governing law and forum

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be submitted exclusively to the competent court in The Hague, the Netherlands.

10. Changes

TNO may modify, suspend, or discontinue TAISHA at any time. Continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms of Use.
