Marc Zegveld

Functie:
Managing Director unit ICT, Strategy & Policy
Marc Zegveld

As an independent, out-of-the-box leader, Marc’s career is driven by a singular focus: boosting economic competitiveness and delivering systemic impact through innovation. He operates on the conviction that true progress requires explicit choices, including confronting uncomfortable truths and championing the inconvenient but necessary investments needed to build a fair, resilient, and prosperous society.

At ISP, Marc applies this impact-led approach to ensure the Netherlands serves as the architect of its own digital future. Leading a unit that spans vital sectors from banking to government and telecom, he bridges the gap between applied research and strategic policy to shape advantage through the entire digital stack. His leadership ensures that innovation is always rooted in European values and principles of sovereignty, trust, and security to secure long-term Dutch prosperity on the global stage.

Marc’s independent trajectory is backed by over three decades of high-level transformation experience:

  • IBM Global Business Services (15 years): Served as European Services Leader for the Industrial Sector and Digital Strategy Leader for the Amsterdam hub.
  • TVA Developments: Managing Partner of this strategy-consulting firm focused on multinational growth.
  • Thought Leadership & Academia: A former long-time columnist for Het Financieele Dagblad (publishing over 100 columns on technology and policy) and former Associate Professor of Strategic Management at Delft University of Technology.

Non-executive & advisory roles:

  • Member of the Advisory Council, Harvard Business Review
  • Member of the Supervisory Board, ECP | Platform for the Information Society
  • Chairman of the Program Committee & Board Member, Stichting Management Studies
