Ruud Roelen is a project manager at TNO, focusing on delivering innovative projects that have both societal and technological impact.

    The developments within the project will contribute to the adoption of electric heavy-duty vehicles and machinery in the Netherlands. In addition, the results will strengthen the position of the Dutch industry in the heavy-duty mobility sector, where the pressure for more sustainable solutions is steadily increasing. Within the project, TNO is concentrating on developing methodologies and algorithms to optimise battery usage, determine (remaining) lifespan more accurately, better assess safety limits, and accelerate the demonstration of new technologies through proof of concept.
