RF Meetspecialist

About this position

Do you want to work on technology that truly matters? At TNO, we use our in-depth knowledge of radar technology to develop new concepts aimed at minimizing the visibility of our defence colleagues to radar systems. In this role, you will carry out measurements and act as the bridge between innovative ideas and practical reality. This makes your work not only technologically challenging, but also socially relevant.

More information about our Radar Technology department can be found at: Radar Technology or TNO Radar - YouTube

What will be your role?

In this role, you will be hands-on from day one, working on radar signature and radar verification measurements in our anechoic research facilities. You will work for both external clients and internal scientists who want to validate new concepts in practice.

Together with them, you will develop measurement plans and actively contribute ideas about the measurement setup. Where necessary, you will adjust these in collaboration with the mechanical workshop. After performing the measurements, you will analyze and report the results and discuss them with your stakeholders. Based on your expertise, you will advise on the interpretation of the measurement results and possible next steps.

In addition to measurements in the anechoic research facilities, you will regularly be involved in outdoor measurement campaigns. You will manage the measurement equipment and facilities and, together with your colleagues in the metrology team, act as the point of contact for radar measurements within TNO. Through this close collaboration, you directly contribute to concrete defense applications that truly matter.

What we expect from you
