About this position

This is a complex challenge, as both our people and knowledge are highly visible internationally. Within this context, you play an important role as an Security Compliance Employee.
What will be your role?
Due to the confidential nature of the role, we cannot describe all responsibilities in detail. You are part of the first line of the security team and, together with 11 colleagues, support the entire TNO organization in the field of security.
You monitor and ensure compliance with security regulations. You contribute to administrative processes and support the organization in handling sensitive information correctly. You also help increase security awareness among employees and advise on security-related topics such as screening, travel, or potential collaborations.
You handle many questions independently. When matters directly impact policy, you align with the Corporate Security Officer or Security Advisors.
- Monitor compliance with security regulations
- Support and execute administrative security processes
- Optimize administrative processing and documentation
- Advise employees on security policies and procedures
- Guide processes with a security component (e.g., screening or travel)
- Contribute to increasing security awareness within the organization
What we expect from you
You are analytical, structured, and comfortable working in a confidential environment. You work independently, but know when to align with stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s level (HBO) of thinking and working
- Willingness to develop knowledge in security topics
- Knowledge of the security chain (organizational, personnel, digital, physical, and procedural) is a plus
- Experience in a similar role is a plus
- Strong command of Dutch and English, written and spoken

The selection process
Please apply before the 2nd of August 2026. The selection process comprises two interview rounds. In a final meeting we will discuss the terms of employment and your tailored benefits package. We aim to finalize the entire process within four weeks.
The selection process may include an online assessment and a reference check.
As you will be working for clients in the domain of defence and security, a Certificate of No Objection issued by AIVD (the Dutch General Intelligence and Security Service) is mandatory. This means you will have to undergo a security screening. Read more about security screening.
