Functie:
Consultant Gezonde Leefomgeving

I work on addressing tomorrow’s societal challenges by connecting people, knowledge and interests. My focus is on healthy living environments, societal value creation, and collaboration between government, industry, knowledge institutions and local communities to achieve sustainable impact.

Research area

How can we ensure that the places where people live, work and meet contribute to their health and wellbeing? That question lies at the heart of my work. I connect TNO’s expertise in health, behaviour and lifestyle with our knowledge of spatial planning, area development, urban transitions and policy change.

My work focuses on the intersection of healthy living environments, societal value creation and public-civic-private collaboration. I address issues such as healthy area development, social cohesion, community initiatives, active mobility, and the design of neighbourhoods that encourage healthy behaviour. In doing so, I develop methods, tools and partnerships that help incorporate health, wellbeing and broad prosperity more effectively into spatial decisions, investments and policy-making.

To achieve this, I bring together researchers, policymakers, businesses and civil society organisations to connect knowledge from different disciplines. My role is often that of a connector and catalyst: helping stakeholders translate insights from health research, behavioural science and living environment research into new collaborations, practical action and impactful solutions for societal and urban challenges.
