Webinar: The energy and wellbeing impact of streaming

Online streaming is now a central part of everyday life. It shapes how people relax, focus, connect and spend their time, while at the same time becoming a growing source of digital energy consumption. Understanding its impact therefore requires looking at both behaviour, energy use and wellbeing.

Time:
11:00 - (CET)

Online, Microsoft Teams
Costs:
Free, registration required

TNO invites you to a webinar in which we will present the results of two research tracks on streaming behaviour and its energy impact, and how these insights can be translated into realistic opportunities for change.

3 things you will learn

  1. Streaming behaviour and change potential: We will share insights into which streaming behaviours drive energy use, where users are willing and able to change, and which groups show the greatest potential for impact.
  2. Energy-saving potential of behavioural change: We will present energy-saving scenarios based on observed streaming behaviour and show where the largest and most realistic reductions can be achieved.
  3. From insight to possible interventions: To connect behavioural insights with energy outcomes, TNO explored a broad range of possible intervention directions, from user behaviour to platform design and broader system settings. In the webinar we will show how this perspective helps identify where meaningful change could occur.
