Cloud Engineer - The Hague/Hybrid - 32-40h
Want to make your mark on our time? Come work as a Cloud Engineer at TNO in The Hague!
About this position
Working as a Cloud Engineer at TNO means contributing to research and innovative applications that matter. From the energy transition and the application of secure AI in healthcare to the future of digital identity and our safety.
What will be your role?
As a Cloud Engineer, you will have the opportunity to further shapen and define our cloud technology together with your colleagues. This includes developing the Azure Platform, creating standards for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), developing the necessary automation for self-service in the Azure cloud, and supporting the setup of IaC and CI/CD for cloud applications.
As a Cloud Engineer at TNO, you will work with a diverse range of internal clients. These can be scientists conducting advanced research on cloud technology or colleagues with no knowledge of cloud technology. The development requests are therefore diverse, making it challenging as it is not a standard package that needs to be developed and managed.
So this is a role where you have a lot of space to contribute to the direction and implementation of the cloud transition within a very diverse environment and where you directly contribute to societal importance.
What we expect from you
We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with experience in:
- Azure (Enterprise Scale Landing Zone Architecture)
- Infrastructure as Code (Bicep), CI/CD (Azure DevOps, YAML, GitLab), PowerShell, Azure CLI
- Azure Policy and Policy-as-Code
- Azure PaaS services (networking, compute, storage, database)
- DevOps way of working, Agile, Scrum
Additionally, you are attracted to the idea of not entering an already standardized environment but rather being able to shape and define the transition to the cloud. If you also enjoy coaching colleagues in this transition, that is certainly possible.
What you'll get in return
Challenging and varied work with real impact. At TNO, you have considerable freedom to shape your own career and development. In addition to a gross monthly salary between € 4,000 and € 5,700 (based on full-time employment and depending on your knowledge and experience), you will receive a 13th-month payment of 8.33% and a flexible benefits budget of 5.58%. This brings your potential monthly compensation to between approximately € 4,600 and € 6,600. On top of that, you will receive 8% holiday allowance. We also invest heavily in your professional growth, offering opportunities to attend training courses, pursue further education and obtain relevant certifications.
TNO offers optional employee benefits, enabling you to tailor your benefits package to match your personal situation. You may also expect:
- An extremely professional, innovative working environment where colleagues are leading experts in their field.
- The opportunity to attend courses, workshops and conferences, and to receive training and coaching based on your needs.
- 33 days annual leave plus a flexible holiday that can be used on a cultural, religious, or otherwise important day of your choosing (on a full-time basis).
- An employer working towards a respectful, inclusive, and equitable work environment where every employee can flourish, with various initiatives such as Jong TNO, numerous expertise based guilds, Rainbow Community and Round Tables on diverse inclusion topics.
