Decisive decision making

Advanced sensors are making the battlefield increasingly transparent. To achieve or maintain tactical superiority, quick decisions are therefore critical. Being able to do so under all circumstances requires new, flexible and robust solutions.

Effectiveness in multidomain operations is very much linked to access to information and the ability to rapidly process it into situational awareness and intelligence. Reliably determining positions, capabilities, actions and possible intentions of all actors on the battlefield is key to rapid decision-making, decisive actions and timely effects. TNO is working with the Dutch Ministry of Defence and industrial partners to continuously improve 'Information Directed Action', with innovations for tracking, information processing and improved decision-making based on fast and robust information infrastructures.

By ensuring a dominant information position, we enable our armed forces to act quickly and decisively at all levels and achieve the desired operational effects faster, even in complex and dynamic battlefields with multiple domains. Especially when every second counts.
