Multi-device studies, without the vendor lock-in

Researchers and healthcare professionals conducting wearable and sensor studies at UMCs, hospitals and universities keep running into the same obstacle: every wearable comes with its own platform, and there is no central, secure place to bring that data together. That fragmentation drives up operational complexity and quietly locks studies into a single vendor's ecosystem.

The Remote Data Collection Platform is TNO's answer: a flexible, certified , device-agnostic infrastructure for data collection in studies and pilots with wearables and multiple data streams. It's not just a tool: it comes together with the broader expertise of TNO's Digital Biomarker Lab, from device selection to clinical validation and digital biomarker development.

During this session, we'll discuss:

  • What the Remote Data Collection Platform is, and where it fits within TNO's Digital Biomarker Lab
  • How the platform connects medical-grade, consumer (including Bring-Your-Own-Device set-up) and custom wearables in a single secure environment
  • The platform's core strengths: device-agnostic integrations, a certified and trustworthy infrastructure (ISO 27001, NEN 7510, ISO 13485), and a flexible, modular set-up that scales from small pilots to multi-centre trials
  • A live look at the researcher dashboard and the participant application
  • Real examples of studies that have used the platform, across different disease areas and study types
