This Yearbook marks the transition from the series of five books previously published under the aegis of the Social and Cultural Planning Office of the Netherlands, to a new series to be realised by ECP.NL, TNO and EPN and published by Media Update Vakpublicaties. The new edition of the 'Jaarboek ICT en Samenleving' (ICT and Society Yearbook) was presented to Frank Heemskerk, State Secretary for Economic Affairs, during eNederland 2008, the annual congress of ECP.NL.
