About this position

To the energy transition, applications of secure AI in healthcare, the future of digital identity, but also our security. As Solution Architect Linux you are part of the Infrastructure team. The Infrastructure team consists of 30 professionals and is mainly concerned with developing and maintaining Infrastructure services including server and storage systems, LAN and WAN connections and workstations. A group of professionals is primarily concerned with managing High Performance Computing (HPC) systems, dockers and Kubernetes. What will be your role?

TNO is looking for a Solution Architect Linux. As a Solution Architect you work mostly in projects and realize a Technical Design (TO) based on an approved Functional Design (FO) and a Project Start Architecture (PSA). You develop an IT service. You test and document this and then have it taken into Management through an acceptance test. The FO and PSA are delivered by the Business Relation Manager and architect respectively, the TO by the Solution Architect. These documents are created through intensive and interactive consultation between those involved and result in the realization of the intended IT service.

In addition, it is your job to bring new products into the organization. You are aware of the developments in the field of Linux. And you try to integrate these new developments into the TNO landscape. If you have succeeded, you ensure that it can be properly managed by the Linux Engineer.

What we expect from you

We are looking for someone who:

  • has at least 5 years of experience as a Linux Engineer;
  • has experience with or wants to move into a role where you also make technical designs;
  • has experience in developing new products and still wants to do hands on work;
  • has sufficient knowledge of the Dutch (at least B2) and English language.

Besides a gross (full-time/40hour) monthly salary between € 4.500,- and € 5.700,- (depending on your knowledge and experience), you will receive a 13th month of 8.33% and a flex budget of 5.58%. Monthly salary can therefore be between € 5.200,- and € 6.600,-. To this is added 8% vacation pay. And you get every opportunity to develop yourself, do courses, follow training and obtain certificates.
