Macrofuels advances biofuels from seaweed
In MacroFuels we develop technology to produce advanced biofuels form seaweed for the transportation sector. Seaweed only needs seawater and CO2 to grow at one of the fastest rates observed in the EU. We will develop advanced fractionation technologies to yield highly concentrated sugar syrups suitable for (bio)chemical conversions. We will convert them to furanics based fuel components and we will perform the overall techno-economic assessment.
