COSMOS: organic solvent nanofiltration membranes on low cost ceramic supports
In cooperation with
Coorstek, University of Twente and ISPT
Within the COSMOS project TNO is developing a separation process that is 40% more efficient by replacing evaporation with a pressure-driven nanofiltration process. The goal of this partnership with Coorstek, the University of Twente and ISPT is to scale up new stable nanofiltration membranes for a pilot involving the separation of organic mixtures for Shell.

Making industry more sustainable
Industry generates high carbon emissions and can be made much more sustainable and efficient in its use of energy and raw materials.

Heat pumps for decarbonising the industry
Together with seven research institutes we have prepared a whitepaper outlining the current status and steps needed to realise the decarbonisation potential of heat pump technology.
