Space meets Quantum workshop

The end goal of quantum communication is the quantum internet, a network that will eventually connect quantum devices all over the world. With current technologies, a global quantum internet cannot happen. Losses in optical fiber prevent quantum communications over long distances, and satellite links are increasingly considered as a viable solution.

Startdatum:
Time:
09:00 - (CET)
Location:
Stieltjesweg 1, Delft

With young and vivid ecosystems in quantum, photonics, and free space optics, the Netherlands is well positioned to bring its contribution to this global endeavor - and take advantage of this opportunity. Yet these ecosystems hardly know each other, and this is precisely what this event is about: having Space and Quantum meet each other.

We are very pleased to invite you on the 27th of June for a workshop on quantum satellite communication to:

  • Get to know each other
  • Start sketching a global quantum internet enabled by space
  • Outline its building blocks
  • Map the individual interests of participating stakeholders

We will also open our labs and take you through a tour in our quantum facilities and our satcom demos.
